How to make WhatsApp channel
As of my last knowledge update in September 2021, WhatsApp did not officially support creating custom "channels" like some other messaging platforms. WhatsApp primarily revolves around individual and group chats. However, you can create a WhatsApp Business Account to communicate with your customers or audience in a more professional manner. Here's how:
Set up WhatsApp Business Account:
Download the WhatsApp Business app from your device's app store.
Verify your phone number associated with your business. Note that you can't use the same number for a regular WhatsApp account and a WhatsApp Business account.
Complete Business Profile:
Add your business name, profile picture, and other relevant information.
Use Business Features:
WhatsApp Business offers various features like automated replies, labels, and business hours. Utilize these tools to enhance your communication.
Promote Your WhatsApp Number:
Share your WhatsApp Business number with customers and clients.
You can also create a WhatsApp Business API integration for more advanced use cases, but this typically requires technical expertise and might not be available to all businesses.
Engage with Customers:
Communicate with your customers through chats.
Use labels and categories to organize conversations.
Broadcast Messages:
Send broadcast messages to multiple contacts simultaneously, but be mindful of WhatsApp's anti-spam policies.
WhatsApp Groups:
Create groups for specific purposes, such as customer support or updates.
Analyze and Improve:
Use WhatsApp Business Insights to track metrics and improve your communication strategy.
